SBA 8(a)
SBA 8(a) program, named for a section of the Small Business Act, is a business development initiative that helps socially and economically disadvantaged Americans gain access to economic opportunity. The program has provided an avenue for disadvantaged Americans to achieve entrepreneurial success and contribute to the strength and vigor of our economy.

Each year 5% of the total federal procurement budget is dedicated to small businesses and 8(a) firms. Prime contractors who sell to the US government are obligate to source from small businesses and 8(a) firms in order to fulfill the contracting requirements.

8(a) firms has a privilege of participate SBA Mentor-Protégé program. Such program allows participated companies to develop a win-win relationship as such lower operation cost and higher revenue
